FIRE & BREATH
Organ music around Pentecost
Wouter van der Wilt
Admission free/ Collection afterwards
Music from centuries from two worlds by two masters of the organ, setting everyone in motion.
From the transparent, light-footed baroque of Bach to the expressive romanticism of Mendelssohn and Reger: The program is structured as a musical journey through several centuries. The highlight of the program is the monumental Choral fantasy über Hallelujah! Gott zu Loben by Max Reger.
A more contemporary composition about Veni Creator, by van der Wilt's mentor Bram Beekman and an improvisation about a Pentecost song will also be heard. The impressive acoustics of the Hoflaankerk and the characteristic sound of the van Vulpen organ guarantee an intense listening experience.

KEEP MOVING
The Hoflaan Walking Concert
Wouter vd Wilt &
Eric Koevoets
Entrance free/ collection afterwards
Get moving, literally and figuratively! Literally by walking: during the break you walk from the Lambertus Church on the southern corner of the Hofllaan to the Hoflaan Church on the northern corner of the Hoflaan. Figuratively, because it is impossible to remain unmoved by the music that the masters of the organ, Wouter van der Wilt and Eric Koevoets, perform.
In addition, because you find yourself in two completely different worlds. First, in the neo-Gothic Sint-Lambertus Church with its rich, beautifully decorated interior in earthly and heavenly colours and the round, poetic sound of the Maarschalkerweer organ. Then in the neo-classical, sleekly decorated, bright white Hoflaan Church with its impressive columns and the transparent, direct sound of the neo-baroque Van Vulpen organ.
And all that in one evening in the beautiful Rotterdam-Kralingen. What more could you want? Don't miss it!
