Wood Sound
Concert on 28-9-2025
Music for two recorders through the ages.
By Duo Sonja Gruys and Hilde de Wolf.
On replicas of authentic historical instruments, we will perform works by Japanese, French, and Dutch composers, among others.
Beautiful melodies by Giovanni da Firenze, refined tones by Orlando di Lasso, and richly ornamented music by Philidor will be heard. You will also hear exciting
twentieth-century music by Dutch composer Willem Wander van Nieuwkerk and Japanese composer Ryohei Hirose.
A musical journey through time with the beautiful wood sound of two recorders.
